Vintage, silver plate mini classical Urn with lion head ring Handles for holding Matches or Toothpicks. This classically shaped vase measures 2 7/8" high, 2 1/2" wide in diameter at the top. The inside measures 1 3/4" wide and 2 1/4" deep. This lovely little accessory is hallmarked with a castle tower, "W" and a crown and is attributed to Charles S. Beller of Brooklyn, NY who is known for designing cigarette promotional items in the 1950s and has patents on his designs from the period. It is unknown who manufactured his items. This holder is in very good condition, with wear commensurate with age - see photos for details. A handsome, classically designed addition to a bar for toothpicks or as a chic holder for matches or cigarettes. Make a fine gift!
