Vintage 1950s, wood clothing Hanger with Advertising for the Ramona Die Works, in Arcadia, CA. Arcadia, originally part of the Rancho Santa Anita land grant, grew from a working ranch to a thriving community known for its Santa Anita Park horse race facility as well as other parks. It became as a well-heeled suburb of Pasadena and Los Angeles, admired for its residential neighborhoods. The hanger with metal hook was stamped with the Ramona Die Works logo in the top center and embossed and printed with blue ink "National Association of Dyers and Cleaners" as well as the establishments' phone number at the time. The operations no longer seem to exist but likely that is was located on the southwest side of town to serve its well-dressed residents. This coat or suit hanger (with pants rail) measures 16 1/2" wide by 8 1/2" high and 3/8" thick. In very good condition - see photos for details. A fun item or someone connected to Arcadia, 1950s southern CA or fashion of the era, to add to a collection or make an interesting display.
