Set of 2, vintage Mid Century, gilt carved wood Frames with signed original, oil on board landscape paintings - one of a wooded scene in fall and the other in winter. The framing includes gold leafed wood edged linen liners, glass over the paintings and paper dust covers and hanging wire and hardware on the backs. The landscapes are charming, calm little rural scenes with colorful trees and lovely skies with billowy clouds. The late summer /fall scene features a quiet, winding stream and green foliage while the winter scene shows leftover color in the trees from fall, and snow covering a slowly winding road. Signed "Milo" on the lower right of each painting. These artworks measure 13" wide, 11 1/2" high and 1 3/8" deep (outside of frame) with landscape paintings of 5 1/4" by 3 5/8". In very good condition, with little wear to the frames and just one small tear in the dust cover on the back of one as well as 2 areas on each where felt pads appear to have been afixed but are no longer present. A charming pair of landscapes for a quiet corner or remove the artwork to use the pair of vintage mid century frames in extraordinary condition for mirrors or to frame silhouettes, photos or other works of art.
