Vintage 1970s, spherical Studio Pottery Vase or Weed Pot with abstract pattern and drip glaze. This gloss finish piece is incised "Gilbert" on the unglazed bottom. The pot measures 6" high and 7" in diameter and has a very regular shape with ribs on the outside commensurate with wheel thrown pieces. The small top center opening has a slight lip on one side and measures 7/8" in diameter. The layered natural colors are highlighted by a large drip in black on one side. The pot is in excellent condition, with no cracks, chips or breaks - see photos for details. A lovely vase to add a simple, natural statement to a casual setting.
