Large, vintage 1960s, reticulated Blanc de Chine ginger jar Lamp with cherry branches and blossom pattern and clear lacquered cherry wood base and small knob/accent on the top of the "jar". The white porcelain jar bodies of these type of mid century lamps were imported from southern China (Duhua), sent to Japan for assembly with other Japanese parts and exported to the US as Japanese products. The original "SEYI fine China" Nagoya Japan, red and gold sticker can be found on the lower bottom of the porcelain jar section of this lamp. As is typical with most of these Blanc de Chine reticulated lamps, this lamp has an original 3-way electrical switch system that allows the night light in the body to light on its own or in conjunction with the low and high settings on the main socket on top. All original wiring, phenolic socket with black plastic finial tipped pull chord, harp, finial, black electrical chord and 2-prong plug. This lamp measures 32" to the top of the finial (base alone is 20 1/2" high and 8" wide at widest point) and the 3-footed carved wood base measures 9" in diameter. It weighs 8 lbs, 6 oz. without the shade. Fully cleaned inside and out. Shades shown not included; top bulbs not included; nightlight bulbs included inside and working. Shade shown measures 15" wide at the top, 16" wide at the bottom and is 16" high. Shade shown available in separate listing. This lamp is in very good condition, with no cracks, chips crazing to the porcelain, some tarnishing on the harp and finial. See photos for details on condition. A beautiful, timeless lamp for an elegant touch to a room and suitable for both traditional and modern interiors due to its classical Asian style.
