Vintage, French Art Deco, bronzed brass House Cat Playing Ball Figurine or Sculpture. This lovely feline is designed to show off the gracefulness of the movements of the cat's body and expressive tail. The figurine has a smooth, dark bronze finish with polish to brass accents on the tips of its ears, edges of its tail, toes and the shape of the ball. Base is covered in black velveteen. This cat measures 8" high, 7 1/2" wide and 3 1/4" deep and weighs 1 lb. 13 oz. Sourced in a Swiss flea market from a French dealer. In very good condition, with minor wear from age - see photos for details. Animals lend a unique character to any shelf or table vignette and this one shows off the elegance of the movements and playfulness that make animals so attractive.
