Ainsley England Gold Embossed Empress Demitasse Cup & Saucer Set

Set of 4, Aynsley Empress Pattern Demitasse or Espresso Cup & Saucers with intricate embossed floral and geometric gold trims outside, gold handles and gold banding inside. These stunning Art Deco design cups measure 2 3/8" high and 2 3/8" in diameter ( 3 1/8" wide with the handle) and the matching saucers are 4 7/8" in diameter and 5/8" high. Cups hold a maximum of 3 1/2 fluid oz. Made by John Aynsley, established in 1775 in England has been known for its production of fine bone china, some made for the English Royal family. Although the last Aynsley factory was closed in 2015, the brand's current owner, Baleek Pottery, continues to sell products of the brand through its boutique. Aynsley England raised print mark on bottoms with gold printed Empress B510 and written "D" mark of the artist who decorated the pieces.
