Pair of beautiful, 1930s, intricately carved alabaster lamps with Grecian style urns on round stepped pedestals (shades not included). These neoclassical lamps measure 24" tall overall (including finials) and are 5.75" wide and 4" deep. Pedestals are 5" in diameter at the bottom and the bases of these lamps alone measure 14.5" tall (to the base of the sockets). The bases are precisely carved of white alabaster with a few touches of grey to create smooth, soft white surfaces. Lovely detailing on these lamps include bead molding around the top, flower detail in the center of the urn handles, acanthus leaf tips at the base of the urns and moldings on the pedestal base. Each lamp is marked with the same number (in European-style lettering) by the maker on the base, showing these were created as a pair. Brass finials top the harps. Some small chips along rim of bases. Wiring updated in the '70s to include clear-coated gold chords with newer plugs, sockets, harps and finials (brass). Shipped without shades and bulbs. An elegant pair of lamps that would be stunning paired with both modern or traditional shades and decor.
