Vintage 1979, original silkscreen on paper by Eleanor Kanasawe, titled "Canada Goose", number 69/225. This lovely silkscreen ed print was created by the Ojibway, First Nations artist (1948-2010) who was born and lived at Wiikwemikoog First Nation Territory on Manitoulin Island, off the coast of British Columbia. She was considered a part of the Woodlands Artist Group of Ontario, Canada and created some of her works there. Her pieces have sold widely, especially in the past 5 years, and are found in a number of museums in Canada and the US and in the hands of private collectors. This lovely "Canada Goose" measures 16 1/2" inches wide and 22" high and is executed in the usual black flowing drawing lines typical of such pieces with color blocks of yellow grey and brown. It is signed by the artist on the lower left with the title and number on the center and lower right. The paper has an embossed mark for    found on the lower right as shown in last photo. This print is in excellent condition, withe clean and clear paper, bright colors and clear pencil signature, wrapped in acid-free tissue and shipped in a hard back roll. A piece with an expressive bird, lovely coloring. Ready for framing and display.
