Aynsley England burgundy red & gold Demitasse Cup & Saucer Set

Set of 6, Aynsley Demitasse or Espresso Cup & Saucers in Burgundy Red with intricate gold trims outside, gold handles and gold banding inside. These stunning cups measure 2 1/8" high and 2 1/8" in diameter ( 2 7/8" wide with the handle) and the matching saucers are 4 3/8" in diameter and 1/2" high. Each cups holds a maximum of 3 fluid oz. Made by John Aynsley, established in 1775 in England has been known for its production of fine bone china, some made for the English Royal family. Although the last Aynsley factory was closed in 2015, the brand's current owner, Baleek Pottery, continues to sell products of the brand through its boutique. Aynsley England printed mark on bottoms with hand signed B315 111 mark of the artist who decorated the pieces. This set is in very good condition, with no chips, cracks or breaks. Some minute wear spots in the red background and gold trim on a few pieces, but only apparent on careful examination - see photos for details. Includes one extra saucer. A beautiful, statement set with classic styling to suit both men and women and wonderful for serving espresso for a coffee get-together or after a formal dinner.
