Antique Louis XVI style French cast brass Coat Hook for wall mount with center Neoclassical urn motif surrounded with a rope trimmed oval frame, topped with baroque style bow with ribbons. There are 2 integrated holes for mounting and a front elegantly curved hook with a horizontal bow shaped holder to gently hang a coat collar. This hook measures 3" wide and 3" high with the depth of 1 3/4" inches from the wall when mounted. Weighs a hefty 4.1 oz. No makers markings; Sourced from a Swiss antiques market from a France-based dealer who trades salvaged items. In lovely condition with distinct patina. The hook is slightly askew as shown in photos, which looks to be original to the piece. A lovely addition to a small entry or a special accent in a closet. Makes a great gift!
