Antique Eastlake style, deep welled walnut Picture Frame with ebonized and burled wood accents on the wood mouldings and slightly patterned lemon gold liner finished with a newer, though still vintage, patineated glass mirror. Note the ebony trim on the inside moulding and the wider trim section under the top edge that has a burl wood look (not sure if this was hand painted or is an inlay but it is very well done and looks like inlay. The gold liner also has a nice trellis pattern, matte gold detail that has been applied over the smooth gold leafing. This frame measures 9" wide and 12 1/2" tall and 2" deep and fits 8 1/2" by 5 1/4" mirror (or picture if preferred). The back shows the newer (not original ) framing with paperboard and framer's tape securely enclosing the back. Wire and screw eye hanger is mounted for hanging in the portrait direction. In overall very good condition with patina commensurate with age, some wear marks on the outside edge of the frame and burled sections - see photos for details. A handsome, richly colored wood frames with gold accents in a classic style that is suitable for contemporary interiors. Use as is, to frame an oil paintings, or add glass and frame matted graphics or photographs.
