Vintage, 1920s Art Deco bentwood, 2-sided Shaving Mirror with neck hook and fully adjustable joints. This unusual shaving tool made of bent and straight oak, features a heat bent long hooked arm that hangs around the user's neck and allows the mirror to be mounted on the user's chest and held hands-free for shaving and grooming. The neck hook is adjustable with a wing nut at the joint with the mirror handle and the mirror itself is adjustable with a wing nut just at its base so that the mirror can be fixed in just the correct position as well as be used on wither side for regular or magnified views. This also allows the mirror to be set up and used on a table or other flat surface. The whole piece measures 16" tall when laid down flat and is 9" wide and 5/8" deep. The mirror itself is 5 3/8" in diameter and the whole mirror section with the frame is 14 1/8" high. The piece weighs a light 9.3 oz. It is in very good condition with little wear on the wood frame, some slight cracking in the mirror silver on the edge on one mirror side and a section of the other mirror has a shadow/ faded section on the edge and some spotting in the silvering - see photos for details. A wonderful piece to add interest to a bathroom or vanity.
