Vintage 1960s - 1970s, mid century, wood Scissor Lamp with wicker Shade. This Danish style, working, wall-mount accordion reading lamp is made of solid oak with brass hardware is all original. The lamp is fully adjustable with a ball joint and butterfly screws on the head above the socket for full 360 degree swivel as well as butterfly screws on the mount which allows the lamp to be adjusted higher or lower and the accordion section to be locked or easily opened and closed. The lamp measures 37-38" long when fully open and 18" long (including the mounting bracket) when closed and is 13 1/4" high and 7" wide (shade). It weighs 2 lbs 4 oz) and can be mounted to the wall from tow integrated holes in the mounting bracket at the end. The socket takes a regular E26 bulb and is connected to a brown chord with matching brown dual prong plug. The socket has a black turn knob to switch the lamp on/off and the original UL rating sticker. The shade is attached to a traditional shade carrier which allows it to be alternatively fitted with a glass or metal shade. In very good condition, with wear and patina commensurate with age - see photos for details. A handsome, practical reading/ task lamp with an organic style.
