This vase has a destinctly Art Deco character with the angled, geometric overlay pattern that wraps around the bulbous part of the piece and was perhaps an in-house product for its local market as the silver overlay is thick enough to be raised but does not bear a purity mark. The bottom is marked with a crown and shield\/wreath with \"Weimar\" across the front in blue which dates this piece to the 1924-1945 period. The vase measures 4 1\/4\" high and 2 15\/16\" diameter across the top lip and the base is 1 7\/8\" in diameter. In excellent condition, see photos for details.
