Vintage, set of 4, 830 Silver, Lemon / Olive / Pickle Forks in Oldemor pattern by Th Marthinsen of Norway. Each 2- prong fork measures 4 3/4" long and 3/4" wide. The early 1900's pattern is a modified baroque / Art Nouveau swirl pattern dotted with mini blooming roses that runs from the top of the handle to the prongs. The silverware producer, Th Marthinson, was started by Thorvald Marthinson in 1883 in his home workshop in Storgarten Norway, grew and expanded and modernized its production when building a factory in Tonsberg to handle the increasing demand for its pieces stemming from the growing reputation for quality construction and creative designs. In addition to silver pieces for the home it has always continued to produce custom work for special events, such as making the medals for the 1952 Oslo and 1994 Lillihammer Olympic Games. The company is now run by 3 great great granddaughters of the founder and continues to produce new pieces in both traditional and modern designs in its factory in Tonsberg, Norway. This set is in very good condition with little wear - see photos for details. This lovely set of forks is perfect for a charcuterie platter or for serving small sides at a brunch or supper table.
